Winter and Spring Pantry

A huge thank you to the Whatcom Community Foundation, Industrial Credit Union, Coltan and Taylor Lentz, and our other Foothills community members for their generous support of the 2015-16 Winter and Spring Pantry Program!
It is because of your donations that we are able to do our part to prevent hunger over Winter and Spring breaks for over 200 kids in the Mount Baker School District! You rock!

During the 2016-2017 school year, we will be serving over 200 students at Harmony, Acme, and Kendall Elementary Schools.

If you are interested in donating to the 2016-2017 Winter and Spring Pantry Program please go to our donation page here:

About the Program:

Many of our community’s children rely on the free/reduced price meal system to meet their food needs during the school year; when school is not in session, it can be difficult for students to get enough to eat.

The Winter and Spring Pantry Program assists in meeting the food needs for low-income elementary school students in the Mount Baker School District over Winter and Spring breaks.

Students who participate in the Winter and Spring Pantry Program are provided with a supply of kid-friendly, easy-to-prepare snacks and meals to reduce the burden on families who may already be struggling to make ends meet.

Students are identified by Mount Baker School District Staff, and food is supplied by the Foothills Food Bank. For more information, or to get your child involved in this program, please contact your school’s Family Resource Coordinator.

 How to Get Involved:

We are accepting donations and sponsorship’s for this program, for more information please contact Jennie Ablondi, Coordinator for the Winter and Spring Pantry Program at or at 360-599-9245.
